HomeAid Inland Empire Executive Director Julie Reay was invited by GreenBee Concrete Construction Sales Manager Alisha Abrahamson to see their offices, tour the facilities, and learn more about what they do... and how they can assist HomeAid IE.
GreenBee specializes in every facet of concrete foundation construction through self-performing all of the associated functions; trenching, form setting, grading, reinforcement, concrete place & finish, and grinding. GreenBee is currently building concrete foundations all throughout Southern California, including Riverside County, San Bernardino County, Imperial County, San Diego County, Orange County and Los Angeles County.
We look forward to collaborating with the GreenBee team in our efforts to end homelessness!

WHAT IS THE "POINT IN TIME COUNT"?

On January 25th, HomeAid Inland Empire Executive Director Julie Reay, and Housing Development Director Ray Osborne, participated in the national Point in Time Count of sheltered and unsheltered homeless persons on a single night. Julie was partnered up with a team that canvased two sections of Adelanto, in the High Desert. Ray was in San Bernardino and the Coachella Valley.
Julie said, "(My team) successfully interviewed 13 homeless individuals, with only 2 others declining to talk with us. We almost missed a few of them because they didn't 'look' homeless, which underscores the fact there are many faces of homelessness."
The Point in Time Count is intended to provide a snapshot of a community's homeless population. It is one way to collectively understand the scope and breadth of homelessness in our nation and our individual communities. The count is an important effort that ensures the voices of people experiencing homelessness are heard and efforts are made to provide appropriate services. It also helps communities develop more effective plans and measure progress toward ending homelessness.

Lots of new things happening in 2018 for HomeAid Inland Empire!
We have our new Executive Director, Julie Reay. Julie has been involved with HAIE since 2009, having spent most of her early career in the accounting departments of large and small housing developers, culminating with 17 years as Director of Finance for the Building Industry Association's Baldy View Chapter.
Ray Osborne, our former Executive Director, remains involved as Housing Development Director. With 12 housing developments currently in planning or under construction in Riverside and San Bernardino counties, Ray has his plate full as the new HAIE developments will add 525 beds to serve the needs of the community's homeless men, women, children, and veterans.
