Partners
HomeAid is dependant on volunteers. Every aspect of HomeAid depends on volunteer effort as indicated below:
Builder Captain Companies
(for a detailed description see the Project Handbook)
These home builders provide the coordination and leadership to move a project forward. They serve on a management team with
representatives from both the Care Provider non-profit agency and representatives from HomeAid Inland Empire. As the building
experts, the Builder Captain Company organizes all aspects of the project construction.
Project Trade Partners
(for a list of recent Trade Partners see Recent Projects)
Builder Captain Companies contact their Trade Partners to provide the skills and materials necessary to complete a project.
These volunteer Trade Partners include architectural and planning professionals, virtually all the specialized construction
trades, complete through the final landscaping. Major gifts come from both large and small companies and are often valued at
several thousand dollars. While it is usually not possible to have all expenses donated, a typical project will receive
donations totaling one half to two thirds of the total value of the project.
Financial Partners
While the largest contributions and volunteer efforts are directly involved in completing the projects, financial contributions
are necessary to operate HomeAid. Coordination and recognition of up to 100 companies per project requires a major
organizational effort. Making sure the community realizes who is making the project a reality is another major goal that falls
to HomeAid. Like most HomeAid activities, generating operating capital is typically done by volunteers through personal contact.
Specialized Partners
A wide range of additional specialized volunteers are also involved in the operation of HomeAid Inland Empire. All members of our
Board of Directors and all committee members serve as volunteers. Specialized volunteers are also involved in communication and
public relations efforts.
