We believe in an open and honest
discussion of all potential projects, but ultimately decisions to limit the number of projects undertaken must be made. Regrettably HomeAid Inland Empire can not develop every project brought to our attention. A
committee of volunteers consisting of building industry professionals and professionals knowledgeable of transitionally
homeless issues develops project recommendations for our Board of Directors. The local Board of Directors of HomeAid Inland
Empire is the final authority on which projects are pursued.
The process outlined below is intended to convey needed information in the most responsible way possible. If the proposed
project is not a good match to HomeAids capabilities, we hope to learn that with a minimum of work required from the non-profit
applicant. If the proposed project is good match, HomeAid will require information as it becomes necessary.
After reviewing this material please call the HomeAid office (951) 686-0628 to further discuss your plans, or please complete the application process in the order listed below. Thank you again for your interest in
HomeAid Inland Empire.

Shelter Application
Please do not complete this form until you have spoken to HomeAid Inland Empire.
After it is established that a project meets all HomeAid criteria, the Care Provider is asked to complete a Shelter Assistance Application. This comprehensive document requires several attachments creating a final package of substantial volume. Your handbook will contain a blank form until a final application is completed. There may be some negotiation between the Care Provider and HomeAid Inland Empire, thus each Management Team member will not receive a Care Provider Shelter Assistance until it is in final form. When you do receive a final version of this application, please discard the blank form and replace it with the completed form.

process outlined at right.

Letter of Agreement
Once all initial requirements are met, a Builder Captain Company is recruited and a budget is established, the Care Provider and HomeAid Inland Empire will enter into this agreement. Signing of the Letter of Agreement and Exoneration Agreement, activation of commercial liability coverage, and payment of the first installment of in-kind fees marks the division between the "Pre-Commitment" phase and the "Commitment to Proceed" phase. Once this agreement is signed we are no longer exploring a project; we are all committed to do our best to make it a reality.

Exoneration Letter
This agreement is executed between the Care Provider and HomeAid Inland Empire. It is designed to exonerate the Builder Captain Company, all Trade Partners, all affiliates of the Building Industry Association, and all affiliates of HomeAid from any liability that arises from the construction of this HomeAid project. This form is required as it is important to volunteers to not incur liability for their volunteer activities.
